The Glasser Preschool creates a nurturing and stimulating first school experience for young children. The teachers provide a day balanced between planned activities and free choice; quiet time and physical play; group activities and individual attention.

We maintain a low student/teacher ratio.

Children do not have to be potty trained. When the child is ready, the teachers will work with the parents to make potty training a success.

Our program is located in, and is a reflection of Oak Park Temple. The school observes Jewish holidays and teaches Jewish customs and traditions. All children, however, are welcome regardless of race, religion, or national origin.

                                                              GPS Diversity Awareness Week
One of the goals that we strive for the children of Glasser Preschool is for them to obtain an understanding and appreciation of diversity. We want them to see and understand that each of us is unique and special. During the week of April 16th all classrooms will be focusing on diversity issues in different ways in their classrooms. As part of that diversity awareness - our children will all be participating in the MDA's Hopathon again this year.

We have chosen the MDA Hopathon for several reasons: it allows us a concrete way to discuss diversity and disability with the children, two alumni children of Glasser Preschool have muscular dystrophy; and it is a fun activity for the children.

Glasser Preschool has earned re-accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) – the nation’s leading organization of early childhood professionals.
