Glasser Preschool is a Prohibited Area for Concealed Carry

Picture
According to the Illinois Firearms Concealed Carry Act (430 ILCS 66):

"Owners of any statutorily prohibited area or private property, excluding residences, where the owner prohibits the carrying of firearms must clearly and conspicuously post the Illinois State Police approved sign, in accordance with 430 ILCS 66/1, at the entrance of the building, premises or real property." (The bold language is highlighted in the Act.)

According to Section 65(a)(2) of 430 ILCS 66, statutorily prohibited areas include "Any building, real property, and parking area under the control of a pre-school or child care facility, including any room or portion of a building under the control of a pre-school or child care facility."

In keeping with this law, Glasser Preschool and Oak Park Temple are required to post the sign at the right at the entrance to the building. You will find the signs on multiple entrances.
