This week at Glasser Preschool (11/12/12)
Due to scheduling problems with the author because of the Hurricane the Pajama Party and book signing scheduled for November 19th has been cancelled.
Please don’t forget to dress your child appropriately for outdoor play. We go outside whenever possible so please remember the hats, gloves and coats when appropriate. Make sure your child’s name is in all clothing items!
Sunday, November 11th
Parent Workshop
We are very excited to be offering a parent workshop with the Religious School by Sheryl Stoller entitled "Reliable Strategies and Tools for FearLess Parenting". The workshop will be held on Sunday, November 11th from 10:15 AM to Noon. Babysitting is always available at Oak Park Temple on Sunday mornings from 9:30 to Noon for $5/child.
Outreach Thanksgiving
The Outreach Committee of Oak Park Temple invites all interfaith households to join them for a catered dinner on Sunday, November 11th at 5 PM in the Community Hall. Enjoy turkey and all the fixings as we celebrate and give thanks for family and friends. We will discuss the upcoming December holiday season and the variety of different approaches folks take to observe & celebrate. Children are welcome. $15 per adult to help cover event costs, payable at the event. Please RSVP to Carrie Landsman by November 6th at or (708) 383-1071.

Special Mention Day at Book Table
Monday November 12th is our Special Mention Day at The Book Table! Any purchases made there that business day, when someone mentions Glasser Preschool, will result in 10 percent of the purchase price going to Glasser Preschool. Think of all the books you could buy as gifts for the coming holidays, birthdays, charitable giving and for your own collection. Fire Drill We will be having our monthly fire drill
GPS Board Meeting The November Glasser Preschool Board meeting is on Tuesday, November 13th at 7:30 p.m. at Kim Kramer’s home in Oak Park. All preschool parents and teachers are invited and encouraged to attend these monthly meetings.
Wednesday, November 14th
Lunch (11 AM to Noon)/Music (Noon to 12:45 PM): veggie pot pie, local green beans, honeydew, whole grain biscuit
GPS Photo Retake Day Picture Retake Day is Wednesday, November 14th. On that date they will be taking photographs of the following: our Mon/Wed/Fri Gan Katan class (individual and group), children who missed picture day, children who would like their pictures retaken, and siblings. Proofs will arrive soon from the original photo day. If you would like a sibling picture or a retake photo - please let Marci know ASAP so we can set the schedule.

T Shirt Order Due
Many people “missed” our GPS shirt order in the piles of forms that they were filling out at the beginning of the school year. So, by popular request - we will be placing another shirt order. Shirts come in both adult and kids sizes and are a great way to show your support of Glasser Preschool. A shirt order form is attached. Orders are Due on November 15th - so hopefully the shirts will arrive in time for holiday gifts!!

GPS Shabbat
Every Friday the entire school will meet at 10:30 AM/2:00 PM in the Chapel to celebrate Shabbat together. Please feel free to join us in this singing celebration.
