The Oak Park Temple Social Action committee will be collecting winter accessories for children from some of Chicago’s poorest neighborhoods. The drive will run until December 14th. We encourage you to bring items up to the Hanukkah Service. Please wrap each item individually and indicate the following information: type of item, boy/girl, and approximate age.
Sunday, December 2nd
GPS Movie Matinee
Join us for a Movie Matinee at 4:30 PM (doors open at 4:15PM). We will be showing some Hanukkah children movies. Cost is $5 per child/maximum of $10 per family and includes snacks.
OPTY Spaghetti Dinner
Following the movies, come have dinner at 6 PM in the Community Hall at the OPTY (Oak Park Temple Youth) annual fundraiser, the Spaghetti Dinner and Dessert Auction! All you can eat spaghetti for just $12 dollars for adults, $8 for kids, and if you bring a donation for the food pantry, 1 dollar off! All proceeds support Oak Park Temple Senior Youth programming. All are invited to participate in the dessert auction. Feel free to drop off the dessert anytime Sunday Dec 2nd. Please include a card to display ingredients. We hope you'll join us for a night of tasty pasta and yummy desserts! It's a western theme so bring your cowboy boots!

Scholastic Book Order Due
Accompanying the December Glasser newsletter are the Scholastic Books order forms for December. You can order online or by paper order returned to Marci. All book orders must be turned in by Friday, December 7th. Hopefully this way we will receive the books before winter vacation. Every dollar you spend with Scholastic books allows us to get free books for the school. Please make checks payable to Scholastic Books.

Every Friday the entire school will meet at 10:30 AM/2:00 PM in the Chapel to celebrate Shabbat together. Please feel free to join us in this singing celebration.

Tot Shabbat
We invite you and your family to join together monthly for a special Shabbat service for our little ones. It is designed to include simple prayers, songs and stories appropriate for Shabbat. The Tot Shabbat service is lead by Rabbi Max Weiss and Cantor Julie Green. Tot Shabbat service will be alternating monthly between Friday evening services beginning at 7:00 PM and Saturday morning services beginning at 9:00 AM. Following both evening and morning services we will have an Oneg in the Youth Lounge. If you plan to attend please bring a nut free snack to share. Please join us for December’s Tot Shabbat on Saturday, December 8th at 9 AM. Thank you in advance to our parent volunteers for the Oneg (parents of Ruby Walker).
