This Sunday, Nov. 18, the Social Action Committee will begin its annual collection of winter accessories—new socks, woolen mittens, gloves, scarves and warm caps—for children in Chicago's Englewood neighborhood. It will end on December 14, with the Hanukkah family service at 7 p.m.   Please wrap each item individually and indicate the type of item on the package, if it is for a girl or a boy and the approximate age of child. Holiday Gift Card Fundraiser Orders Due

Just in time for the December holiday season - -  Glasser Preschool is excited to offer a gift card fundraiser program. This is in addition to your regular monthly gift card commitment.  This is a great and easy way to buy gifts for friends and family or simply shop at businesses you already use while at the same time supporting the preschool.  All you need to do is indicate the number of gift cards you would like to purchase from each business on the order form and include a check made payable to “Glasser Preschool” for the total amount of your purchase.  Order forms with payment must be turned in by 3PM on Tuesday November 21st.  You will receive your holiday gift cards in early December.  This is separate from our monthly gift cards and must be prepaid with your order.

Kabalat Shabbat

On Friday, November 23rd, join Oak Park Temple for a “nosh” at 6 PM in the Rotunda followed by a Kabbalat Shabbat Service at 6:30 PM and you’ll be home in time for the kids to go to bed at 7:30 PM.  The Oak Park Temple joins together in the rotunda at 6 PM for social time prior to our 6:30 PM service.  At 6:30 PM, we welcome Shabbat with a musical service featuring classically trained guitarist Aaron Burnstein.  The time of the service allows those with small children to join us following an early dinner at home, and those who have more scheduling flexibility to have a leisurely dinner with family or friends following the service.  Join Oak Park Temple in celebrating Shabbat with reflection and joyful communal singing!
