Saturday, December 8th
Tot Shabbat
We invite you and your family to join together monthly for a special Shabbat service for our little ones. It is designed to include simple prayers, songs and stories appropriate for Shabbat. The Tot Shabbat service is lead by Rabbi Max Weiss and Cantor Julie Green. Tot Shabbat service will be alternating monthly between Friday evening services beginning at 7:00 PM and Saturday morning services beginning at 9:00 AM. Following both evening and morning services we will have an Oneg in the Youth Lounge. If you plan to attend please bring a nut free snack to share. Please join us for December’s Tot Shabbat on Saturday, December 8th at 9 AM. Thank you in advance to our parent volunteers for the Oneg (parents of Ruby Walker).

GPS Hanukkah Parties
On Tuesday, December 11th we will be having our annual GPS in class Hanukkah Parties. Families are invited to attend. The morning party will be at 10:30 AM and our afternoon party will be at 2:00 PM. We will be singing Hanukkah songs and will also have a special Hanukkah snack treat. Thank you in advance to our parent volunteers for this event: morning parents of Henry Ellis, Tommy Flueke, Charlie Montero; afternoon parents of Daniel & Elijah Resnick.

Mammaloshn Hanukah at the Buzz
Join Mamaloshn (OPT’s Yiddish Singing Group) for an evening of fun at Buzz Café on December 13th. There will be two shows/seatings for latkes: first one for children from 6 to 7:15PM and a second for adults and teens from 7:30 to 8:45 PM. Buzz Café will provide LATKES (for $7.50) and MAMELOSHN and YOU will provide the

2nd Semester Lunch/Enrichment Registration Ends
Our second semester lunch and enrichment programs will start immediately following winter break. We will be offering the program options as follows: Lunch is an option Monday through Friday from 11:00 to noon PM. The extended day program meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:00 AM to 1:15 PM. Wednesdays will be music from Noon to 12:45 PM and our new Creative Movement and Story on Fridays from Noon to 12:45 PM. Registration begins in December. We will determine which dates we will be having the program for the second semester based on the enrollment numbers from the registration forms we receive by December 14th.
Winter Accessory Drive Ends
The Oak Park Temple Social Action committee will be collecting winter accessories for children from some of Chicago’s poorest neighborhoods. The drive will run until December 14th. We encourage you to bring items up to the Hanukkah Service. Please wrap each item individually and indicate the following information: type of item, boy/girl, and approximate age.

Every Friday the entire school will meet at 10:30 AM/2:00 PM in the Chapel to celebrate Shabbat together. Please feel free to join us in this singing celebration.
