Special Auction Raffle: Skybox for Disney on Ice!
We're happy to announce a very special raffle for this year's Oak Park Temple and Glasser Preschool Fundraising Auction! You can enter to win 12 tickets to a Skybox for Disney on Ice, February 9, 2014, at the United Center! That's just 8 days after the auction, so plan well! Raffle tickets are $10 each, or purchase 3 tickets for $20! We're setting the limit to 300 tickets, so you have a great chance of winning! Raffle tickets are available ONLY at the Oak Park Temple office! While you're buying raffle tickets, buy tickets to the auction too! See you at the auction!
Registration for 2014-2015 School Year has begun !!. Priority registration for Oak Park Temple members and Glasser Preschool families ends Sunday January 26th . Registration Opens to the Community on January 27th. Please make sure to register during your priority week to ensure a spot a Glasser for your children for next Fall!

Little Sister Tea Party & Havdallah
The OPT Sisterhood requests your attendance at a traditional ladies high tea. This event is for ladies and “little ladies” alike. Please come alone or bring your daughter, mother, grandmother or any woman in your life that would savor an afternoon of “girl talk” along with a spot of tea (or hot chocolate and lemonade) and an elegant tea service of savory sandwiches, sweet pastries, and scones. The tea party is on Saturday January 25th at 3 PM at Oak Park Temple. The tea will conclude with a brief Havdalah service. Cost is $5 per person (free for OPT Sisterhood Little Sisters). Please bring some new hair accessories for Hephizibah Children’s Association. Their wish list includes small barrettes, ponytail holders, brushes and combs. RSVP with the OPT office or to [email protected].

GPS Open House
GPS will be having an open house for prospective preschool families on Monday, January 27th from 7 to 8 PM. Please invite your family and friends who are not already part of our wonderful preschool community to join us. They will learn more about Glasser Preschool, talk with the Director, tour our classrooms, meet our wonderful teachers, speak with current preschool board members, and sign up for our 2014-2015 school year.

Wednesday, January 29th Lunch (11 AM to Noon)/ Music (noon to 1 PM/2:30 – 3:30 PM): mac n cheese, fresh cucumbers, cantaloupe chunks
Thursday, January 30th Lunch (11 AM to Noon): pineapple glazed turkey, local peas and carrots, apple slices, whole grain bread
District 97 Closes at 11 AM On Thursday (1/30) and Friday (1/31) the Oak Park District 97 public schools are only in session until 11 AM because of parent/teacher conferences. Glasser Preschool will be in session for our normal classes on those days. We want to make sure that those of you who have children enrolled both at Glasser and in District 97 schools are able to pick up your older children on time during those days. If you have a child enrolled in our morning program –I will watch those children in the babysitting room until you arrive (hopefully by 11:15 AM). If you have a child enrolled in our afternoon program who normally comes for lunch at 11 AM – you can drop them off in the babysitting room at 10:45 AM. YOU MUST LET ME KNOW IN ADVANCE IF YOU NEED TO USE THIS SERVICE so I can make sure that we have adequate supervision.

Weekly GPS Parent Coffee
Friday mornings we will be having parent coffees in the rotunda. Stop by, hang out, socialize with other GPS parents and get to know other adults in our community a lot better!!!!! We’ll supply the coffee and we’ll rotate who bring treats.
Literacy Enrichment Class (2:30 – 3:30 PM)
GPS Shabbat
Every Friday the entire school will meet at 10:30 AM/2:00 PM in the Chapel to celebrate Shabbat together. Please feel free to join us in this singing celebration.

The Oak Park Temple and Glasser Preschool Gala and Charity Auction only comes around every two years, and our next one is scheduled for Saturday February 1st at 7 PM. It’s our synagogue and preschool’s biggest and best fundraising event. Hope to see you there!
