Sunday, April 14th

Parent Workshop

OPT Religious School and Glasser Preschool is excited to welcome Sheryl Stoller, PCI certified Parent Coach to bring in the rebirth or spring and of Shalom b’bayit, peace in your home.  On Sunday morning April 14th from 10:15 to Noon, please join us for an exciting and useful parenting workshop “Create Customized Tools for Calm, Confident, Effective Communication.”  There is no fee for the workshop – but please let Marci know if you plan to attend so we can have enough materials for everyone.  Babysitting is available at Oak Park Temple on Sunday mornings from 9:30 to Noon for only $5 per child.

GPS Board Meeting 7:30 PM

Our next Glasser Preschool Board meeting is on Tuesday April 16th at 7:30 p.m. at Kim Curran’s home, in Oak Park [NOTE NEW LOCATION FOR MEETING].  All preschool teachers and parents are invited and encouraged to attend these monthly meetings. We are looking for new members to join our board for the 2013-2014 school year - so come on by and see what the GPS Board is all about!

Wednesday, April 17th Lunch (11 AM to Noon)/Music (Noon to 12:45 PM):  grass fed burgers, sweet potatoes, fresh cantaloupe, whole grain buns

Congregational Engagement Program

Join OPT’s new William Ira Heine Congregational Engagement Endowment fund for the first program on Wednesday April 17th at 7 PM where we will be screening the film “Connected” followed by a discussion with the film maker Tiffany Shlanin.

Thursday, April 18th Lunch (11 AM to Noon):  tandoori chicken, local carrots, fresh honeydew, naan bread

Friday, April 19th

Lunch  (11 AM to Noon):  sustainable fish tenders, fresh cucumbers, fruit salad

Tots Class 9:30 – 10:30 AM

GPS Shabbat

Every Friday the entire school will meet at 10:30 AM/2:00 PM in the Chapel to celebrate Shabbat together.  Please feel free to join us in this singing celebration.

OPT Sisterhood Brunch & Jewelry Sale

Please join Oak Park Temple sisterhood on April 21st at Oak Park Temple for a jewelry sale and brunch.  Try on hand-crafted, gorgeous sterling silver Silpada Designs Jewelry at 11:30 AM and enjoy brunch as their guests at noon.  For a preview of the jewelry and to preorder visit and select “Oak Park Temple Sisterhood.”  Fifty percent of the profits will be donated to the Sisterhood.
