GPS Spring Tzedakah Project Week
One of the goals that we strive for the children of Glasser Preschool is for them to obtain an understanding and appreciation of diversity. We want them to see and understand that each of us is unique and special. During the week of April 22nd all classrooms will be focusing on diversity and disability issues in different ways in their classrooms. As part of that diversity awareness - our children will all be participating in an obstacle course activity to raise funds for Alyn Hospital in Israel. Alyn Hospital is Israel’s premier rehabilitation center for physically disabled children, adolescents, and young adults. Your child will bring home a card indicating their participation in the event. We ask that you return your child’s pledge form and pledges by April 30th. This money will be donated to Alyn Hospital by Glasser Preschool as our spring Tzedakah project. Participation is of course voluntary, but we hope that every child will collect pledges totaling at least $20.

Kaballat Shabbat
On Friday, April 26th, join Oak Park Temple for a “nosh” at 6 PM in the Rotunda followed by a Kabbalat Shabbat Service at 6:30 PM and you’ll be home in time for the kids to go to bed at 7:30 PM. The Oak Park Temple joins together in the rotunda at 6 PM for social time prior to our 6:30 PM service. At 6:30 PM, we welcome Shabbat with a musical service featuring classically trained guitarist Aaron Burnstein.
