This week at Glasser Preschool (5/6/13)

Glasser Preschool, 1235 N. Harlem Ave., Oak Park, IL 60302.  (708) 386-3937 Sign up sheet to bring items for Teacher Appreciation Night or to help with set up or clean up is on Marci’s office door.  Please sign up to help out with this wonderful event.  Also – don’t forget your contributions to the teacher appreciation gifts.  Thanks.

Sunday, May 5th

Gan Orientation Orientation for our the incoming kindergarteners to our Oak Park Temple religious school will be held on Sunday morning. 

OPT Mitzvah Day Sunday, May 5th is Mitzvah Day at OPT sponsored by the OPT Social Action Committee.  Join us for an educational program from 10:30 to Noon; pizza & salad at OPT from noon to 1 PM, and Mitzvah Projects from 1-5 PM.

Israel Bonds Brunch All books orders must be turned in by Wednesday, May 8th so that we can receive the books before the end of the school year.  Every dollar you spend allows us to purchase new books for our classrooms. Orders can be placed on line or make checks payable to Scholastic Books and return the paper order to Marci.

 

Monday, May 6th

Salami for your mommy orders due

The OPT religious school is having its 4th annual “Salami for your Mommy” fundraiser.  Orders must be placed by May 6th and you can pick orders up on Mother’s Day between 9:30 and Noon.

 

Tuesday, May 7th

Fire Drill

 

Lunch (11 AM to Noon):  raviolini marinara, fresh cauliflower, fresh pineapple

 

 

Wednesday, May 8th Scholastic Book Orders Due

All books orders must be turned in by Wednesday, May 8th so that we can receive the books before the end of the school year.  Every dollar you spend allows us to purchase new books for our classrooms. Orders can be placed on line or make checks payable to Scholastic Books and return the paper order to Marci.

 

Lunch (11 AM to Noon)/Music (Noon to 12:45 PM):  bean & cheese burrito, sweet potatoes, banana

  Thursday, May 9th Lunch (11 AM to Noon):  turkey meatloaf muffin, mashed potato, fresh honeydew, whole grain bread 

Teacher Appreciation Night Contributions Due

 

 

Friday, May 10th

Lunch  (11 AM to Noon):  creamy mac& cheese, steamed broccoli, fruit salad 

Tots Class 9:30 – 10:30 AM

GPS Shabbat

Every Friday the entire school will meet at 10:30 AM/2:00 PM in the Chapel to celebrate Shabbat together.  Please feel free to join us in this singing celebration. 

Shabbat Kehillah Shabbat Kehillah is OPT’s Shabbat of Community.  These 7PM Shabbat Services feature Tsimmis, our congregation’s band, and are preceded by a buffet dinner at 6:00 PM. Shabbat Kehillah dinners are held on the Second Friday of each month.  Join OPT on May 10th for a dinner hosted by the Oak Park Temple staff in recognition of Marci’s commitment to Oak Park Temple and in honor of her daughter Sara’s Bat Mitzvah. Dinner reservations must be made in the OPT office with payment by May 3rd.  Cost is $12 for adults and $6 for kids ages 5-12; kids under 5 are free.
